After blogging for four years, I have read articles and statistics from many sources. Experts expect between 1,000 and 1,500 words to do justice to the topic if you post a professional content piece. But what if you do not write professional content?
Amateur or vanity blog posts are different. I have had comments telling me that my posts were too long, so I tried to keep them between 300-500 words after that.
Other vanity posts respond to photo challenges. They tend to be very short – even wordless. I like to read a story when I look at photo challenges. I think the words enhance the pictures – maybe not 1,000 – 1,500 words, but an explanation at least. So what do you think?
What do you think about amateur post length?
blah-blah blablabla- blah!
